Beaver Control

If you have beavers affecting your home, or business property you have come to the right place for professional help. We are professional beaver trappers or wildlife control technicians. Our main line of work is to remove beavers that enter into properties destroying trees, willows and causing property damage or flooding. Some examples are:
Beavers traveling along water ways may destroy, cut down, or damage trees and willows on your property. Beavers create large lodges and dams which flood causing damage to foundations of businesses or homes. Beavers also divert river or water ways flooding highways and golf courses. We use the most current beaver trapping, and control techniques. If you have a beaver problem, contact us or give us a call to schedule professional coaching or our beaver removal services.

WHAT ARE BEAVER CHARACTERISTICS?

A large member of the rodent family, beavers have teeth are always growing: This explains the need for beavers to constantly chew on trees and other plants. Their waterproof fur, paddle tails and webbed feet are perfect for beavers’ aquatic lifestyle. If you notice stinky mud mounds around your property, there’s a good chance beavers are building these to mark their territory. Beaver poop looks a lot like sawdust.

Beavers build dams in ponds, streams, lakes, ditches, canals and drains, and they don’t care if humans are living or working nearby. Along with rocks, wire and metal as housing materials, beavers will cut down and chew on surrounding trees for timber.

Though it is not uncommon to see beavers work during the daytime, beaver activity normally takes place during the night. Generally, four to eight beavers will shack up together.

WHAT DO BEAVERS EAT?

Beaver food consists of vegetation such as willow and sweetgum. Beavers are not above stealing crops: corn and soybeans are a favorite. If they don’t eat these plants, beavers will use them for their dams.

WHAT KIND OF BEAVER DAMAGE IS THERE?

A beaver nuisance on your property can be expensive to take care of, as the rodents love to destroy landscaping and trees with their habits. If beaver chewing causes a tree to fall on your garage or roof, that’s a hefty price tag right there. Even if a beaver is just gnawing on a tree, this will eventually expose it to disease and kill the tree.

Possibility of flooding is huge as beavers divert water and change landscapes by building dams. Back-yard swimming pools and ponds can be contaminated by beaver parasites and disease. Giardia from beavers is a huge problem: By going to the bathroom in drinking water, beavers can give you diarrhea, bloating, flatulence and stomach cramps. Animals such as coyotes, bobcats, mink and mountain lions hunt beavers and may enter your yard in search of them, causing a whole slew of additional pest problems.

Beaver-pest problems will affect the value of your property. Selling a home with a beaver infestation is difficult. On top of that, the law requires a homeowner to fix a beaver problem before selling. If your yard is home to a beaver dam, you are inviting a huge beaver liability into your life. The dam could cause flooding on a neighbor’s property, meaning you are responsible for costs incurred.
