FAQFrequently Asked Questions. What animals, insects, birds, or reptiles do you control? We are a full service company providing general animal, bird, and reptile control. For more information, view our full list of animals that we service. What's the largest animal your company has ever caught? A 45 lb. male raccoon that could squeeze through a 3 inch opening. Do you rehabilitate injured birds, animals, or snakes? Unfortunately, injured birds, animals, or reptiles normally don't survive. However, we would be happy to try to help you locate an animal rehabilitation service in your local area. What time of year do animals normally cause problems in homes or businesses? Spring is when the animals come into structures to have their young and protect them from the males of their species and other predators. Summer and fall they are normally outside effecting yards or properties. Winter is another time when they are denning up for shelter from the poor weather conditions. Do you carry insurance? Yes, some projects that we do require different types of insurance. Do you tranquilize the animals while you are removing them from a structure? Many of the animals that get into attics, walls chimneys, or crawl spaces need to be controlled by tranquilizing techniques. Normally safe trapping techniques are used along with catch pulls used to snare the animal. Do you exterminate through the use of pesticides or insecticides (kill products) Yes, depending on the situation, we utilize kill products; however, we try not to use kill products inside of crawl spaces, attics, living or working areas for animal control. Insecticides and pesticides are perfectly safe for humans or pets and can be used indoor for insect control. After you have captured the animal, and removed it from our residential or commercial site, what do you do with wild animals, birds, or reptiles that are trapped? Depending on the health of the animal, and the state or county law, animals need to be euthanized or relocated in an area where they will not create a conflict to the public in the future. As much as possible we try to find a wild environment for them to be relocated to. When trapping doesn't work, what other methods could be used? Pesticides, insecticides, and poisons can be used, however, professional trapping exclusion or block-out will normally solve the problem. (However it is important that we don't block an animal in where it would die causing a dead animal odor, maggots, and fly infestations as the body decontaminates.) Are there occasions where technicians are attacked by animals? Yes, it can happen, but situations like that are rare. Do you provide animal control services for domesticated dogs or cats? No. How do you do trap or gain control of the animals, birds, and reptiles? We use special traps with animal specific lure or bait used to trap and remove the problem animal, bird, or reptile, from a structure or property. Will you pick up a dead or injured animal? Yes, we will pick up dead or injured animals. Fees for this service vary depending on the animal(s) in question. Do you use humane traps while trapping? All of our traps are humane traps, meaning that they are safe, live traps. Different styles of traps are used for different animals. Different states, wildlife control agencies, and city and county animal controls, have laws that govern which traps are used in which areas. Some states and cities allow the use of snap or body gripping traps, which kill humanly as they are activated by the animal. If you have a trap preference, you are more than welcome to suggest alternative trapping techniques. Do you have workman's compensation insurance? Yes, depending on the project workman's compensation may or may not be required. What types of animals, birds or reptiles do you not service? We service most all wild animal, bird, or reptile needs. Although we do provide control services for big game animals like deer, elk, cougars, mountain lions, eagles, hawks, we do not provide trapping services for those particular animals (control methods include the use of exclusionary fencing, blocking, hardware cloth, repairs etc). I've found a lost baby animal. Can you help me find its mother? It's best if you leave wildlife where you find it untouched, so that the mother can retrieve its offspring. Do you know where I can find my lost pet? When we capture a domesticated dog or cat, we deliver them to the local city animal control department. If you are looking for a lost pet, we would encourage you to call your local animal control agency or the police who could direct you to the proper authorities. We do provide pet locating services if a pet such as a snake, hamster, mouse, etc. gets lost in your home. Why should people feel comfortable using your services instead of others? Our professional services are based on years of experience and we will provide the best solution to each animal, bird, or reptile damage problem. When you remove families of animals from a structure, do you relocate them as a family? Often if the general health of the animal is good and the offspring will survive, the female and her young will be relocated to a habitat that is conducive for that particular specie. Do you need to be licensed to provide wildlife, animal, and pest control services? Yes, county, state, and federal governments require licensing for most of the wild animals, birds, or reptiles or insects that we control, service, or trap. What cities and states do you service?
