Rat Trapping

Ever heard of a Rat Wrangler?  I hadn’t either until being awoken one morning with one─a rat, we’ll get to the wrangler─running across my chest.

Needless to say, I freaked.

What? In my house? I was sufficiently grossed out, and though I wanted to run right into the shower, I opted, instead, to try and find the thing.

No such luck.

And that was when my imagination went wild. Where was it? In my sock drawer? Munching a hole in the clothes pile at the bottom of the closet? Had it been around for a long time? Which led me to wonder if there was rat poo all over the place and I just hadn’t noticed it yet.

I suddenly felt very overwhelmed. I was then embarrassed that it felt like such a big deal when it had been, after all, just a single rat.

This is where the Rat Wrangler comes in. I will love him and his team forever─for the problem was more serious than even the hauntings of my wild imagination.

I guess I was lucky that one rat saw fit to run across my bed early that morning because it got me looking for professional help. Who knows how much longer and how many more would have shown up in my house had I not called for help when I did.

The Rat Wrangler found the freaky furries in all the spaces and inner-workings of my home that were impossible to get to for anything larger than, well, a wet rat. Impossible-to-reach places between my walls, behind my cupboards and cabinets, even in my dryer vents.

It was a good thing the Rat Wrangler and his team were there─and confident─or I might have completely lost it.

Overwhelmed with the idea of introducing poison into my house, though squeamish about having a bunch of traps filling up my house, I conceded that rats (alive or dead) in traps are preferable over ones dying slowly then blowing up in my walls.

Trusting to their expertise, I let them go at it, wanting to bury my head in the proverbial sand.

Rat trapping─rat wranglinginvolved more than I would have thought. Finding and trapping all the rats was just the beginning but they were professionals the whole way through. Helping me out, explaining something when I wanted to know, and letting me hide my face and leave when I didn’t.

Something that was so overwhelming to me they handled with seeming ease and I now feel like I have my home back again. Rat free.

I think I’m going to go get some sleep. Thanks, bird and animal control, for everything.
